President 's Message
Dear Friends,
After two years lull, the first term of the year started with much glory compared to any year in the bygone history. Our final year students parted with us after making friends much more prouder by securing highest % of marks ever achieved in the history of Friends.
We thought of extending our vistas as we felt the need to keep pace with the expanding innovative advancements in the world of education. To support this thought, we acquired the free lease area of 1st floor for expansion of classrooms. We have also installed interactive flat panels in all the classrooms being a SmartClass. In addition, the Turf facility existing in some of the other schools will be opening from this year and many more specialized Sports & Cultural special activities will also be taught through experienced of the line.
We, at Friends’ Academy, believe in the holistic development of a child by nurturing and positively shaping the young minds of students. We provide and ensure high quality of education along with the best infrastructure which in turn make students into self-reliant and independent citizens. The school is affiliated to CISCE Council and is the only school in Mulund having an ISO 9001:2015 certification.
With an experienced academic faculty, state of art infrastructure, good sports facility, the school offers a splendid environment for learning.

Principal's Message
My Vision For The School
The competitive world of today has a severe impact on the day to day lives of children and on the way they perceive and react to situations around them. To add to the stress, the easy, unrestricted access to the Internet and social media create many opportunities for distraction. These have also removed the filter of guarded innocence in today’s children and greatly restricted social skills development. In such an environment, the ability to distinguish between right and wrong often gets blurred.
As an educational institution, it is our duty to help students acquire the skills that will help them deal with and navigate through today’s fast- paced, competitive life.
Unfortunately, there is an alarmingly high emphasis on only academic excellence which is manifested in the form of learning by rote and success in examinations. This emphasis on academics often comes at the expense of developing softer skills such as discipline, respect for others, empathy, general social behavior and the ability to think right – all of which are keys to lasting success.
The right education therefore means going beyond just the pursuit of academic excellence to developing a holistic personality. The foundations for this must be laid early in life and the home and the school thus becomes vital enablers of such values. Yes, education really begins at home and the school helps hone and shape personality.
As Albert Einstein has said, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” At Friend’s Academy, we aim to empower our students to become thinkers. So along with academic excellence, they can be responsible, purposeful and aware citizens.
I believe that students are like clay and it is up to us as their guides to mold them into successful human beings of the future.
I am glad to have the support system of the management and my team of hardworking, diligent teachers who will help me make my vision for my students and the school, a reality.

About the school
“Friends’” as it is famously known, was begun by a couple of energetic friends in the year 1967. From a modest start in a couple of leased rooms, Friends’ has slowly advanced throughout the years, remembering developing requests of giving enhanced instructive and infrastructural facilities for students and staff. To keep pace with regularly expanding innovative advancements and changing way of life, Friends’ Academy, an ISO 9001 : 2015 certified school with ICSE based educational modules was begun in a new school building with a huge open play area. The school has progressed leaps and bounds throughout the past years.
The year 2017 – 18 brought with it an added glory as we received CISCE Affiliation at our first attempt. Certification under the Indian Council of Secondary Education Board is recognized around the world, particularly by foreign schools and universities and the students from this board hold a slight edge over other students in exams like TOEFL as it emphasis more on English. Also, the reinvented ICSE Curriculum focuses on practical knowledge and helps to build analytical skills in students.
The school offers a plethora of opportunities which lays emphasis on the child’s intrinsic curiosity and nurtures talent and interest, thereby enabling them to win laurels in multiple competitions. Our learning facilitators are dedicated in providing engaging and stimulating environment where all learners feel valued and realize their full potential. When it comes to learning resources and infrastructural aids, Friends’ Academy makes no compromises. Integrated and holistic learning needs to be backed by amenities and we are well – equipped with them which enables ease of learning. For thorough penetration of knowledge, flat interactive panels, a digital way of teaching is used. Recently, Friends’ Academy has come up with a multi-sports turf for the overall development of the students. So, at Friends’, students get not just deep roots, but also strong branches to bloom and bear good fruits as they embark on their career.
The journey has been a long yet satisfying one, but there is more to learn and achieve on the road ahead. The school looks forward to take itself to epitomes of success.
